October is National Cookie Month and we are beyond excited to celebrate it with you. If we could we would dedicate every month to celebrating cookies. Luckily the festive season is just around the corner and with it comes more cookies and sweet deserts. A lot of sharing of cookies happens around this time of year. You might not be great in the kitchen, but that shouldn’t stop you from all the action. Here are some great local places to buy the best cookies:
You can find just about any type of cookie at this specialty bakery. Instead of buying stale shelf cookies, why not impress your guests with Sweetwater’s freshly made cookies made with fine ingredients. To top it off, Sweetwater bakers mostly use natural ingredients that are trans-fat free. Be sure to keep an eye out for monthly specials such as the pumpkin holiday cookies. Get your hands on some of the best cookies in town by visiting Sweetwater Bakery located at 119 E.3rd Ave, Post Falls, ID. 83854.
Bakery by the Lake
Mix things up with sweet treats from Bakery by the Lake. Our favorite treats are the Boston Crème cookies with vanilla filling and a chocolate coating. It’s no wonder why Bakery by the Lake was voted the Best Bakery in North Idaho by the Inlander readers. Visit Bakery by the Lake at 601 East Front St #104 Coeur D’Alene, ID 83814 and be the talk of the office with their tasty treats.
Pastry & More
Pastry and More offers a combination of new and traditional recipes. You can expect a homemade quality taste and great service. Although they specialize in cakes, they offer specialty treats such as Florentina cookies filled with whipped cream and dipped in chocolate. Other goodies include rich creamy truffles infused with either raspberry, orange or peanut butter then topped with a chocolate coating. It might be cookie month but we are pretty sure these sweet and tasty treats will make the cut. Visit Pastry and More at 2133 N. Main St. Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
